Came across this work through an article on its nice that and it immediately grabbed my attention i love how the text interacts with the image it creates a really imaginative piece of work out of something which could be presented in a less interesting way.

Finally getting round to sorting through my black and white film from Prague, I am really pleased with the shots overall. Will upload them to my Flickr in due course!
This is a brilliantly simple idea, to remind people of the dangers of oil spills and make people become more aware these posters were put up around Vancouver. The images begin as an oil tanker but once the rain interacts with it it begins to run giving the impression of running oil. They are very effective and end up looking quite sinister which is representative of the oil spilt into the ocean.
The poster is created by Rethink as part of the Dogwood Initiative for their ongoing No Tankers campaign.

One of the references for my latest brief is Herman Zapf’s Manuale Typographicum, as i cant seem to get hold of the book to read above is a video of some of the page layouts which are lovely! I love the use of different sized text and lettering. I have also found that most of the pages can be found online which will come in useful!

Happy 40th Birthday Pentagram! What a wonderful video to celebrate.
I have always admired the Habitat logo and branding work as i think it is perfectly suited to the brand. It was created by the studio Graphic Thought Facility, above shows their branding book for the company. I think its such a nice way to present the brand information to the client and i need to consider doing things like this when creating brands in future work.
Thinking about the visit to Barcelona and the AGI last September is making me want to investigate other talks etc for this summer whilst i have time to travel, unfortunately the AGI this year was in Hong Kong so not so easily accessible via Easyjet!!
Purchased Stefan Sagmeister’s - ‘Things i have learned in my life so far’, I am looking forward to it arriving and hope it will give me some inspiration for my GARP (Graphic Arts Research Project) on self directed briefs. Listening to him speak at the AGI was extremely interesting as he comes across as so knowledgeable but also very honest about his experiences etc.
Everybody loves a good icon and this is a huge collection, by clicking on an image on the main selection it then gives you different variations of the same! Great fun to look through them all, my personal favourite is Sasquatch!
